Hello everyone from MIURA69 !
today I logged into my blolg
to design a new construction of a 7.5 to 8.5 db Omni the "REAL" ... I hope!
pleased with the project and place in our family forum!
I created this version of the omni x clips of simple reasons!
1) too many pieces to be welded! .. And I do not have a dragon in heat seal!
2) avoiding the difficult task of respecting 7
precise distances from one piece to another, and do as many as 14 extremely precise welding, where one
cold welding can blow hours of work!
I used measures of a project different from the Czechoslovak
most popular project, and specifically modified by me to be
+ powerful and easy to build!
photos of the project in pieces!
The
to design is to build the omni in just 2 pieces
is a suitable omni to receive as its
lobe is not squeezed too as is the x high-gain omni
its 7.5-8 , 5dbi are a good compromise between power and performance
, because the in-lobe maintains an angle of 35-30 degrees,
begin to see what we need with this photo
I used the 3m cable + x piece antenna
but you can also use less cable.
's drawing with measures to be met.
begin to cut the piece to overlap the other
helping with the gauge (or meter)
begin to affect the power of the design using the measurements above.
once engraved with accuracy up to the central copper wire pieces, skinned
calmly parties such as helping with the design Cutter
here the first results skinned sides of 2 pieces!
hours
create incisions in the sheath to expose the cable shield!
hours overlapping the two clips, remote
precision with the help of a thickness of 3.5 mm plywood
and then blocked with tape pieces one by one ... so
Well the antenna is functioning despite missing welds!
but this does not mean that we should not do the welds!
but would be much advantage in case of errors or cold or rough welds
! :!:
lets look at the clips spread x x fully secure the cable
here! .. Once finished welds council to paint all x
prevent the oxidation of copper
and welds in the long run undermine the performance of the antenna
now with the tape we cover the whole x
further protect the omni antenna
if the antenna should not be exposed long x
to weather you can also use it as
otherwise get yourself a tube of PVC 1.6 mm
"properly tested in the microwave"
stuffed into the antenna and close all with the tape
now we certify that the cable with the ,
in my case I used a RP-SMA
to attach directly to my ALFETTA V2 by 1000mW
at this point the antenna is made!
have fun and enjoy the rest of MIURA69 !
